Leticia M. Vargas

Leticia M. Vargas, age 71, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1953, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to parents, Pedro Martinez, Jr., and Guadalupe Guzman Martinez. Leticia was the middle child of five siblings, Adolfo Martinez (San Antonio), Alfonso Martinez (Abilene), Guadalupe Martinez (San Antonio), and Estella Martinez Villarreal (Carrizo Springs).

She completed her high school diploma from Carrizo Springs High School in 1971.

In 1976, Leticia began her career as a Utility Clerk for the City of Carrizo Springs, where she successfully completed 26 years of service. In raising her children, Leticia always stressed the importance of education, financial management, travel opportunities, and family values. Her hobbies included reading, traveling, dancing, and spending quality time with her family.

She was preceded in death by, her parents. Leticia is survived by daughter, Veronica Tobias (Tomas) of San Antonio; son, Armando Vargas, Jr. of Dallas; and daughter, Valerie Balderas (Rogelio) of San Antonio. Leticia has five wonderful grandchildren: Sydney Alexis Tobias, Isabella Gonzalez, Rogelio Balderas, Jr., Aidan R. Balderas, and Ava J. Balderas, all of San Antonio.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Porter Loring Mortuary West, 1710 West Loop 1604 North, San Antonio, Texas
