I think of you often.  The times I babysat Diana, you fixed me tuna fish sandwiches.  Then later in life, you were the one person to "go to" for all the family information on mothers side!  I loved hearing about your wild times with her. Our dinner out at Pappadaux's restaurant. The last time I saw you and Will alive at Kenney's funeral.
 The troubles you had with family at times. I remember your laugh.  Yes those are the memories that often come.  I cherish them now.  Life is never full of only good things,but both, so it's important to remember the details.

I love you Lois and will remember all our growing  up together, you are always in my heart.

Lois will be remembered for her love of all things Elvis, her lively conversations, the friendships she had and kept for her entire life, her exceedingly deep connections and love for her family, and her kind and loving nature.  She lived a great life and a great faith.  She loved living “out in the country” in Sutherland Springs, Texas. And as I’m sure you can tell, her family will miss her dearly!

Diana and Derek, your loving children, are agonized by having been kept from you as you lay dying. We rushed  home as soon as a stranger let us know you were dying. We know you wanted us there, 
but we will see you in heaven someday.  Diana and Derek have honored your memory with your friends and family. We know you did your best and we are so grief stricken at your passing. We did our best under extremely trying circumstances. We will honor your memory with your sister, friends, and extended family.

Go get your heavenly reward, Lois. We will miss you dearly but your husband and so many others are waiting to embrace you. Welcome to heaven!  Love always and forever, Diana and Derek


Prior to her death, Lois had also said goodbye to her youngest sister, the fun and spicy Juanita. Juanita was the sister she helped raise, and Juanita was a handful of energy.  Eventually Juanita had children and married, settling into a rich family life in Missouri. Each of Juanita’s children (Johnny Ray, Tony, and Tammy) mourn Lois’s loss today. So many years after they lost their own mother, the children remember Lois with love and how she wanted a connection with each of them.

Lois was married for more than 50 years to Willis L. Trawick.  He was the singular love of her life and neither of them strayed far from one another.  Just a few months before her own untimely passing, she had laid him to rest with military honors at Fort Sam Houston.  Lois’s death, just months after his passage, speaks volumes of the love she had and shared with him.  It seems she literally could not live without him.  Lois mourned her husband’s loss and was left alone in their Sutherland Springs home to miss him.  She did her best to fill her days and take care of herself, but she missed his conversations and thought about him every day.  They left this world just months apart and now she will join him in the afterlife for the eternal embrace.

So many friends and extended family have loved and lost Lois.  The family wants to thank Jana Gilley Friesenhahn and her husband, Mike, for all that they did.  Jana went to Lois and used her medical expertise to ensure she was being cared for in the best way possible. Mike helped Lois so much in her final months in Sutherland Springs.  The family also thanks Gary Rivard and his family for their selfless help, bringing Helen to see Lois in her final hours, allowing the sisters to have a loving and beautiful final farewell.  The family wishes to express great gratitude to Carl Schmidt, a dear friend, and his bride, who traveled a long distance to see Lois as she lay hours from death, giving her comfort and saying that heavenly goodbye. 

Lois Marie Davison Trawick received her heavenly reward in the early morning hours of February 21, 2020. She was 80 years old.  She is survived by her daughter, Diana Trawick Miller, of Manassas, Virginia and her son, Derek Trawick, of Austin, Texas.
Lois was a southern girl hailing from Arkansas. She had a wonderful childhood; poor but exceeding happy, living among family and enjoying the friends and the extended family who lived near her off the back wood roads in her small town of Eudora. Lois loved to tell tales of her loving parents and all the fun she had with her four brothers and sisters: Sonny, Helen, Willie, and Juanita.  The children all clung to one another when they lost their father, a railroad worker, when he was very young (Lois was but 14) and when they lost their chatty, high-spirited mama just a short time after that (Lois was 17 when her mama died).  After her parent’s passed, Lois spent time as a young adult with her loving sister, Helen.  Lois is survived by her sister Helen, Helen’s son Gary, and Gary’s wife and son. She was preceeded in death by Helen’s husband, George, and Helen’s children, Chucky and Carlotta.  Lois had a lifelong loving relationship with her sister Helen, whom she spoke to daily, if not multiple times per day.  Together they weathered the ups and downs of life, always supporting and loving one another in a bond that was closer than most ever have.  Helen came to Lois’ side when she was in the hospital, holding her hand and loving her, as she had to let her best friend go to God. 
Lois had a deep and abiding care and special spot in her heart for her brother, Willie Lee.  Willie was her twin brother and they always shared that connection, famous among twins. He was her heart and she felt responsible for him her entire life, even after he passed on in his early 40’s.  The twins entered this world together and they will be buried beside one another, watching the sun set over the beautiful Mission San Jose in San Antonio.

Lois we have been together ever since you were born. 
I rocked you to sleep when I was only 5 yrs old, as we grew up we always stayed in close touch.
We both got married in the same church by the same pastor, before that you lived with us in South Carolina, I say us because it was just George and I. before we started our family.
It’s been a wonderful trip we have always 
stayed in touch one way or the other.
I’m sorry you don’t have your place beside your twin like you wanted.
It’s so hard to give you up in this life but because of both of our deep faith, we will be together again  , what a wonderful 
reunion you must have had when God opened his arms to you and said welcome my child.. until I see you in Heaven, I will think about you every day.

So many memories I have of you!  Those wonderful canned tuna fish sandwiches you made me at lunch.  Going through old photos and only you knew who they all were!  Remembering Will,Willie Lee,Nita,and Mom now ,  knowing you are with them.  May you Rest In Peace ....
