

Born and raised in the community of Hondo, Texas, Loretta's vibrant spirit was evident from a young age. She embraced life with passion and creativity, showcasing her talents in sewing by crafting beautiful western blouses that mirrored her Texas roots. Loretta's grace and charm found a perfect match on the dance floor, where she spent many memorable nights country western dancing.
Loretta dedicated an impressive 39 years of her life to Southwestern Bell/AT&T, where she not only built a successful career but also formed lasting friendships with colleagues. Her commitment and hard work were evident in every aspect of her life, and her dedication to her profession was truly commendable.
Loretta and her loving husband, Tony, embarked on adventures to destinations such as Las Vegas and Reno, where they indulged in their shared passion for playing slot machines. Their travels were filled with laughter, excitement, and the joy of creating unforgettable memories together.
In her leisure time, Loretta found immense joy in the kitchen, where she expertly baked the most delectable Reese's bars and cheesecakes. Her culinary skills extended beyond desserts, as she lovingly prepared meals for her family, creating a warm and inviting home for all who entered.
Loretta's green thumb was another testament to her nurturing nature. She found solace and delight in gardening and landscaping, creating vibrant and colorful spaces that reflected her appreciation for the beauty of nature.
Family was at the heart of Loretta's world, and she cherished every moment spent with her granddaughters which included actively volunteering at her granddaughters’ elementary schools. Her love and support knew no bounds, and the memories created with her family will forever be treasured.
Even in her later years, Loretta remained socially active, gathering with her friends for a monthly card game or group trips that brought laughter and camaraderie. Her friendships were a testament to her warm and welcoming nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lorine Haby, and brother-in-law, Jim Davis. Loretta leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Tony R. Griffin; daughter, Lisa Schultz and husband Chris; granddaughters, Kaeli and Camryn Schultz; sisters, LaVerne Davis and Dianna Kowalik and husband Alvin; sister-in-law, Patty Weldon; as well as numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
