Lorine Busby McCord, age 74, beloved mother and grandmother, joined the Lord on September 6, 2002 in San Antonio after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beautiful person with a keen sense of humor who loved to cook, sew, and always put her family first. A native of New Orleans, Lorine was born on December 28, 1927. After graduating from Soulé School of Business, Lorine worked for Lion Oil Company and Warner Brothers Distribution. She then started her family with her loving husband of 52 years, Jim, who preceded her in death just two months earlier. Lorine was also preceded by her parents Aven and Claire Busby. She is survived by her children, Tim McCord and wife Suzanne, Dr. Mike McCord and wife Laurie, Karen Floeck and husband Steve, Cathy Frank and husband Bryan and Pat McCord; grandchildren, Cameron and Keenan McCord, Becky and Sarah McCord, Brian and Kyle Floeck and Sammie Frank; brother, Eddie Busby and wife Emily; brothers-in-law, Dr. Lynn McCord and wife Frances, Dr. Clarence McCord and wife Jean and Dr. Joe McCord and wife Myrtis and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
