Louis was born in St. Hedwig, TX on October 24, 1939. He served in the U. S. Army with tours in Vietnam. While servicing in the military he met and married the love of his life Anneliese Schwandner. They were married for 18 years until her death in 1991.
L.D. was preceded in death by his wife Anneliese Rice, his parents, Geo and Rachel Rice; his brothers and sister, Geo Rice, Jr., Ervin Rice and Frances Francis. He is survived by his brothers, Dillinger Rice and Earl Rice; sisters, Minnie Hill and Lula Palmer, and many nieces and nephews.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Porter Loring McCullough.
Funeral Service, Monday, August 3, 2015, 11:30 a.m, Porter Loring Chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
