Lucy was passionate about her career as a cosmetologist. When it came to hair and nails, Lucy took pride in the work she did for her customers, but what she valued the most was the life-long friendships she built throughout her career. She was a caring, hospitable person who enjoyed hosting holiday events with family and friends. She was also known as a fantastic hostess by ensuring everyone attending her events had enough to eat, drink and were having a great time. Lucy was a generous individual. For example, she was the first to offer her home, financial assistance, advice, or simply provided her own shoulder to cry on when needed. She was a cheerleader and encourager to everyone in her midst. Lucy’s selfless demeanor was evident to so many by always continuously placing others before herself. We will miss her calls and text messages to say, “good morning” and “I love you.” She will be enormously missed by everyone who knew her.
One of Lucy’s legacy will be the unrelenting and loving care she provided her mom, Lucibia O. Jimenez who battled Alzheimer’s disease for more than 19 years. Upon her mother’s death, she felt a void was created in her heart that could never be filled completely again. The entire Jimenez family is indebted to Lucy for the compassion and unconditional love she exhibited to their mom throughout her illness. They rejoice in knowing she is loving her time in Heaven with her mom, dad, and brother.
