He is survived by his two children, Laura Koehler and Luis A. Silva II; his sister, Maria Bisotooni; his grandchildren, Vanessa and Luis Silva III; and his longtime companion, Rose Garcia.
He will be missed by his friends, loved ones, and those that he touched with his music.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008, from 4:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M at Porter Loring with a Rosary in the Chapel at 6:00 P.M.
On Monday, October 27th, a Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz, San Antonio, TX followed by interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
