Madeline was born on April 28, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, to Otto and Gertrude Heinsch. She attended Blessed Sacrament Academy, graduating in 1948. After high school, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank until she married the love of her life, Marvin Lee Stacy. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage until Marvin’s passing in 2005, and together they lovingly raised six children. A woman of deep faith and service, Madeline, along with her husband, was a founding member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church where she actively participated for many years in the Women’s Guild, the Caring and Sharing Committee, and the Adoration Group. She also devoted 17 years of service at the Incarnate Word Generalate, where she felt honored to work alongside and form lasting friendships with the Sisters and staff. Madeline found joy in cooking and baking for others, bowling, playing bunco, tending to her garden, and faithfully cheering on her beloved San Antonio Spurs. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and the many dear friends who enriched her life.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Stacy, and her sisters, Rose Katherine Anz and Sr. Agnesine Heinsch, IWBS. She is survived by her six children: Sr. Cynthia Stacy,CCVI, Barbara Pantuso, Ron Stacy (Jill), Howard Stacy (Nancy), Mark Stacy, and Greg Stacy. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren—Kelly Capecci (Neal), Ashley Schaible (Jason), Lauren Mack (Sam), Camren Stacy and Matthew Stacy—as well as three great-grandchildren, Liviana Capecci, Aidan Capecci, and Silas Stacy, along with nieces and nephews.
