

Mamie was born on March 20, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was a graduate of Brackenridge High School, Class of 1955. Mamie worked as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell prior to her marriage of 49 years.
She enjoyed playing the piano, singing and traveling. When Mamie's children were in elementary school, she was devoted in volunteering much of her time to the Catholic Church.
As the oldest of eight siblings, she was admired dearly by her parents, brothers, and sisters, as well as her husband. Mamie was a gentle, generous and loving person who lived her life for her family. They will always remember her endless love and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lucy Flores and sisters, Isabel Flores and Henrietta Talamantez.
She is survived by her husband, Romeo; seven children, Paul, Melissa, Kathleen, Jerome, Frank, Steven, and Gregory; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Gabriel, Stacey Marie, Matthew, Jacob, Amanda, Angelo, Isaiah, Alex; and one great grandchild, Alyssa; Mamie's siblings, Arthur Flores, Yolanda Flores, Lucy Flores, David Flores, Ruben Flores, and Rey DeLaRosa.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Odyssey House for their tender care during her last moments of life.
