She was born in Des Moines, IA, on June 23, 1935, to George and Anna Sherbo.
She was a graduate of the University of Iowa in 1957, and a member of the Holy Spirit Altar Society, Act II, and Red Hat Divas.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael and Patrick; her parents; and a brother.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward Ned Davitt; 3 daughters, Lynn Beadle Rick of Marion, IA, Katherine Castaneda Michael of Austin, TX, and Amy Scharnberg Charles of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
