She worked for the Press Corps in Europe after World War II then came to San Antonio as a reporter for the San Antonio Light where she met the love of her life, Bob Ostrum, and they married in 1953.
Margaret was a devoted wife and mother, loving grandmother, and friend to many. Until her last week she was "still on her feet", having a daily Scotch at happy hour with her beloved Bob, recalling special times with family and reciting poetry.
She is remembered with loving hearts by her husband of 64 years, Bob; her children Karen (Larry); Robert (Lorraine); Anne (Barrett) and Catherine (Michael); grandchildren Alicia (Russ), Sarah (Jasper), Andrew (Brittany), Camille (Andrew), Meredith, Ashton and Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 2nd, 2:00 pm in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough.
