Margaret Mary Wood

Margaret Mary Wood, age 76, passed away on July 7, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. Margaret was born in Alamo, Texas, to parents, Robert Thomas and Ernestine Caroline Savage. Margaret enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her own children. She had a strong love for her grandchildren who referred to her lovingly as "Sugar". Margaret is remembered by many friends as an excellent cook, and loyal friend. She loved being part of her loved ones lives and although her illness kept her from being involved completely, she maintained a close relationship with her children.She will be missed for her quirky personality, contagious laugh and valued opinion. Margaret "Sugar" is survived by sons, Joe Wood and wife Anna Lane, Robert Wood and wife Gail; daughters, Jean Martin and husband Mike, Marie Ginn and husband Richard; twelve grandchildren, Jolly, Hannah, Sam, A.C., Jordan, Ellen, Robert, Bailey, Lauren, Allison, Ashley and Parker; five brothers, Lawrence and wife Caroline, John and wife Carol, Robert and wife Delores, Richard, and Tim; four sisters, Eileen Crumrine and husband Elmer, Janet Mitchell and husband Dick, Rita Marino and husband Tom, Ann Zellers and husband Bob along with numerous nieces and nephews.
