Margarita Rodriguez, age 76, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2005 in San Antonio, TX. No one ever met Margie who wasn't profoundly affected by her, and it was impossible not to adore her. She was a singer, a fighter, a caretaker, counselor, cook and comedian, and was the matriarch of her family. For those of us left behind, life will be poorer in her absence, but her memory and her stories will enrich us and live forever in our hearts. Margarita is survived by her mother, Marcolina Colon, and her children, Fernando, Linda, and Victor Perez, as well as 3 sisters, 7 grandchildren and a host of extended relatives.
