Maria Davila Astran

Maria Davila Astran went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 87. Maria was born in Karnes City, TX on March 3, 1936, and lived a full life with family and friends. She loved to watch the Texas Rangers and was an avid baseball fan. She is reunited in Heaven with her son, Manuel Longoria, granddaughter Elizabeth Longoria Cano and other family members. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Patricia (Peter) Arguello and Sandra (Ray) Collazo, Nine grandchildren – Victoria (Enrique) Longoria-Lobato, Michael (Kacie) Garcia, Jr., Manuel (Ashley) Longoria, Peter Paul (Amanda) Arguello, Jr., Stephanie (Joseph) Mascorro, Michelle Carter, Patrick Arguello, Steven (Jennifer) Garcia and Matthew (Valerie) Garcia. She was blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was a strong, independent woman, who lived life on her terms. Precious memories of her will forever be kept in our thoughts, and her love will forever live in our hearts.

A visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023, final respects at 9:30 AM with a departure at 10:00 AM from Trevino Funeral Home to San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78226.
