Maria Juana De La Cruz born on November 25, 1945 in San Antonio, TX was called to be with the Lord on July 27, 2014 at the age of 68. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leandro and Augustina Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Angel De La Cruz; children, Frank Vergara III, Celina Banda (Nicholas), Carolyn Aleman (Joe), Joyce Garcia and Rose Vergara; grandchildren, Joe Jr., Maria Juana, Kimberly, James, Dixie, Valerie, Jessica, Matthew, Angelica, Thea, Taylor, and Laura; 30 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Guzman, Paula Moreno and Consuelo Losoya; brother, Alfonso Garcia. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home 2525 Palo Alto Rd. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joseph (South San) Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park.
