

She was born on July 16, 1933, in Romita, Guanajuato, Mexico to her beloved parents, Modesto Alfaro and Juanita Frausto. Carmen carried her heritage with pride and built a life centered on faith, family, and resilience.
Carmen was united in marriage to Manuel Gonzales Sr. in 1977. Together, they shared many years of love and companionship until his passing. She is also reunited in heaven with her parents; Modesto Alfaro and Juanita Frausto, and several siblings; Federico, Alfaro, Jesus, Gilbert, Angelina Garcia and Aurora Garcia.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: her sons, Victor Torres and Manuel Gonzales Jr., and her daughter, Blanca Estella Torres. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Melendrez, wife of Manuel Gonzales Jr., She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
Carmen will be remembered for her strength, devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on April 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 1:30 p.m.
Family and friends will meet directly at the cemetery for burial. The funeral home will provide road maps for the procession.
The committal service will take place at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, following the rosary service.
