Maria Elena Guerra

Maria Elena worked numerous years in management for Target. She retired in 2005. She enjoyed working in the garden and painting outdoor statues and pots. She enjoyed shopping. But most of all she enjoyed her family. She enjoyed family events, like birthday parties, holidays, weddings and even a funeral. She loved traveling to Las Vegas, casinos in the state. She especially loved her scratch off tickets.

Maria Elena was a very giving person.

She knew exactly what she wanted to do and she did it.

She is preceded in death by her parents Virginia G. Guerra and Aurelio Guerra: sisters Rose Mary Greene, Guadalupe Guerra, Orfelinda Meola; brothers, Aurelio Guerra, Jr, Rodolfo Guerra, Enrique Guerra, and Evaristo Guerra. Maria Elena is survived by her sister Margarita Guerra; various nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
