A woman after God's own heart, Maria Luisa D. Moralez, entered into eternal rest with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Rockville, MD at the age of 91. This was the day that she had longed for every day of her life. She was born on March 10, 1927 to Juan and Isabel Duron. She was wise, honest and selfless.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo Moralez, her parents, Juan and Isabel Duron; brothers Joe Duron, Jesse Duron, Manuel Duron, Mike Duron and Ernesto Duron, and sister, Janie Jaramillo.
She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Parker, Son-in-law, whom she loved like a son, Scott Parker, her only grandson whom she adored, Anthony Almendarez II, and great-grandson Adrian Alexander Almendarez, all of Maryland; brother, Frank Duron, Sr. of San Antonio and sister, Josie (Felix) of San Antonio, and numerous nieces and nephews and many close and family friends.
First of all, Maria was a devout Christian, who loved the Lord, and shared His word until her last breath. She learned to drive specifically to be able to drive herself, family and friends to church. She loved her family and friends; adored her grandson and great-grandson who brought her so much joy and happiness, she was a caregiver most of her life; caring for her siblings, caring for her bed-ridden mother-in-law for over 25 years, cared for her husband for 5 years after his stroke, and was caregiver to several other homebound elderly ladies. She also worked at the Mexican Baptist Bible Institute, where she loved and was loved by the students and staff. She was a blessing and inspiration to her family, friends and to anyone who met her; she will be missed by all.
