Maria Gonzales Perez was born on August 22, 1930 to Victor and Dorethia Gonzales in Dallas, TX. Maria was called by the Lord to heaven, January 10, 2020 at the age of 89. She was a loving and kind, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and great -great grandmother. She was thoughtful, kind, beautiful and blessed. She was loved by her nieces and nephews, godchildren, friends, neighbors and will be missed dearly. Maria was a homemaker, supporting her husband and raising her ten children 2 – girls and 8 – boys.
Maria is preceded by her loving husband of 72 years, Jose Ojeda Perez Jr., and their three sons, Jesse, Ruben and Rick Perez.
She is survived by her remaining children, Arnold, Mary (Edward, Jr.) Estrada, Joe, Frank, Edward, Jimmy, Gloria (Ruben) Villareal; 26 Grandchildren; 48 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday January 17, 2020 followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4411 Moana Dr. San Antonio, TX. The interment will continue at Sunset Memorial Park.
Reception after interment at the Perez resident located at 1123 Olney Dr. San Antonio, TX.
