Mariano furthered his education having earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from El Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Estado de México, which laid the foundation for his successful career.
Professionally, Mariano was known for his exceptional work ethic and his ability to connect with colleagues and clients alike. His career in marketing was marked by his innovative ideas and his dedication to his work. Mariano's involvement in various associations within his field further highlighted his commitment to his profession and his desire to make a lasting impact.
Mariano's life was enriched by his beloved wife, Rosa Maria Retana, and their loving children, Mariana and Santiago Retana. Mariano's legacy continues through his children as well as his mother Maria De La Luz Cancino Delgadillo; and extended family, including his father-in-law Juan Arechiga, his sisters-in-law Patricia and Gabriela Arechiga, and his nephews and nieces.
An avid sports enthusiast, Mariano's passion for Formula 1 racing and soccer was well-known among his friends and family. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams or sharing his extensive knowledge of the sports with anyone who shared his interest. Mariano's collection of Porsche die-cast cars was a source of joy and pride, reflecting his love for precision and excellence.
