

Marilyn was born on April 27, 1944 to Elner A. and Darlien M. Olander in Des Moines, Iowa. When she was young, her family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she grew up and raised her three children. In 1986, Marilyn moved to Texas, and happily lived in San Antonio, Houston and Kerrville, Texas until she passed.
Marilyn was active in the local Baptist Church, a lifelong Nebraska football fan, and a tremendous list maker and cookie baker. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and sisters and was a wonderful friend to so many people. Marilyn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Jeffery K. Gordon and wife, Lisa of Austin, Texas, and Matthew J. Gordon and wife, Lesley, of Columbia, Missouri; a daughter, Christine Mingle of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Jared Mingle, Jacob Mingle, Halle Gordon and Gage Gordon; and two sisters, Donna McCall, of Lithia, Florida, Bette Cummins and husband, Bill, of Lincoln, Nebraska. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Marilyn is predeceased by her parents, Elner and Darlien Olander and husbands, Fredric Deily and Jack Milburn.
Memorial services will be at held at 2:00 p.m. on November 13, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Mesa Vista Health Center in San Antonio for the care they provided Marilyn over the last two years. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
