He was born in Mexico City on January 6, 1973.
He moved to San Antonio in 1986.
Mario attended Long Fellow Middle School and Jefferson High School.
Was a 1995 graduate of Saint Meinrad College-Seminary in Saint Meinrad, Indiana, where he received a BA in Spanish.
In 1995, he became an oblate third order of Saint Meinrad Arch Abbey.
He attended Assumption Seminary and Oblate School of Theology where he earned an MA in Theology from 1997-2000.
He was a teacher at Holy Cross High School 2000-present.
He also worked for NBC/Telemundo in San Antonio.
He always loved serving others, while in High School he served the community as a firefighter and while in Seminary as a chairman for the College Student Union.
He was the best son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.
Survived by his mom and dad, Mario and Rebeca Alvarado; sisters, Rebeca and Edith; nephews, Carlos Alberto Mucharraz and Andres Moctezuma; niece, Edith Moctezuma; aunt, Tia Beba.
