Mario J. Pelayo born July 22, 1926 in Port Arthur, Texas was called home to be with the Lord, on May 17, 2017 at the age of 90. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years Marina H. Pelayo. He is survived by his children; Gloria Pelayo McVey (Dennis), John Anthony Pelayo, Leticia Pelayo Zepeda and Joseph Anthony Pelayo (Yvonne), grandchildren; Alyssa Zepeda, Richard Adam Zepeda, Alexandra "Lexi" Pelayo Bachran (Stephen), John Anthony Pelayo, Michael Anthony Pelayo and great grandson Beckett Emerson Bachran.
A visitation will begin on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 after a 10:00 a.m. Chapel Service with Interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
