

Marjorie Peck Davis, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by family. She was born on June 17, 1931 to Vernon and Billie Peck. Marjie was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Deborah Davis McMahon; and the love of her life William (Dick) Richard Davis. She left behind a loving family, including her son, William Richard Davis, Jr.; her daughter in law, Laura Hensey Davis; her son in law, Joseph McMahon; her grandchildren, Charles Osborn Biedenharn, William Richard Davis III (Rachel), Robert Ball Davis, Thomas Christopher Davis; and great grandchildren, William Richard Davis IV and James Banks Davis. Also left behind, her sister, Dottie Goldsmith; nephew, Brian Goldsmith; and niece, Kristie Goldsmith.
Marjie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Marjie collected people - she was interested in their lives and became part of them. Her passing will leave an empty place in many hearts. Marjie enjoyed spending time with her family, creating cherished memories that they will hold dear for a lifetime. Marjie’s character was the epitome of love, friendliness, selflessness and kindness. Those words not only describe her, but also the way she made people feel.
After spending most of her life in Arizona, Marjie graduated from Arizona State University. She then married her love Dick and they came to San Antonio to build their lives and family. She loved her days as a Battle of Flowers Association member as well as dedicating her life to Christ Episcopal Church. A special thank you to Leita Carter, who helped Marjie’s last years be special and meaningful.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2024, at Christ Episcopal Church, 510 Belknap, San Antonio, Texas 78212 followed by a reception at the church. The Reverend Scott Kitayama, officiating. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, direct donations to Christ Episcopal Church.
