Marla Michele Ochoa was called by the Lord January 3, 2020. Marla was born April 15th, 1987. She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, niece, grandchild and friend. Marla had medical field aspirations. She graduated from UTSA in 2010 with a degree in Biology. She passed the Texas certification test and joined public school teaching in 2015. She taught at risk kids. Her students loved her, she loved them back. Marla had a very simple teaching philosophy: Teaching is touching lives. She touched many young lives. She leaves behind a legacy of teaching: "at risk kids" excellence. Marla is survived by her mother and stepfather Carolyn and David Hernandez, her father and stepmother Steven and Jessica Ochoa. She also is survived by sisters Gabriella and Cosette, brother Armand, grandmother Juanita Bray and grandfather Victor Hernandez, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Mary Ochoa, Joseph S Bray and Amparo Hernandez.
