

Marnie Morrow Menzies, age 19, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2001. She was on her way home from Texas Tech University when an auto accident claimed her life. Marnie was known for her smile and her love for life and people. She was creative, charming, affectionate, and a strikingly beautiful girl. She valued truth and authenticity and was beloved by all who crossed her path. Marnie was a Christian whose faith and trust in the Lord grew stronger every day. Marnie was born November 15, 1981 in San Antonio. She attended Health Careers High School and San Antonio Christian School, and graduated from Churchill High School in 2000. Marnie attended Wayside Chapel, and participated in several medical mission trips to Mexico. During the past four summers, Marnie lifeguarded at the Hunters Creek North and Inwood pools, where she also taught swim lessons. She was a member of the Texas Tech chapter of Pi Beta Phi and was on the Dean's List for Academic Achievement each semester. Marnie is survived by her parents, Stephen and Sally Menzies; sister, Monica Menzies; and grandparents, Col. and Mrs. Perry Menzies, all of San Antonio.
