Marsha Martinez Bautista

Born January 3, 1979, in Dallas, Texas, Marsha lived a life defined by love, strength, and generosity. She was the beloved daughter of Canuto Martinez Jr. and Rosemary Hatfield, and from an early age she carried a spirit that was both resilient and compassionate.

Marsha was a woman who loved deeply and lived passionately. Music filled her life, and she found joy in traveling, attending concerts, and singing along to the songs she loved. Her presence was vibrant and full of life, and she had a way of bringing energy and warmth into every room she entered.

Those who knew Marsha would describe her as strong, stubborn in the best way, and endlessly loving. She had a heart that knew no limits when it came to helping others.

Above all else, Marsha loved her family. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bautista; her loving daughter, Victoria Reed and husband, Nicholas Reed; her bonus children, Kathryn Bautista, Emilee Bautista, and Kenneth Bautista; her bonus grandchildren, Ma’layah Bautista and Bleu Bautista; her mother, Rosemary Hatfield; her siblings, Tasha Castilleja, Meredith Rodriguez, and Jillian Flack and husband Jeremy Flack; and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Canuto Martinez Jr., and her stepfather, William Hatfield.

Marsha’s life was a reminder of the power of love, resilience, and kindness. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made on the lives of others will never be forgotten.

Funeral services for Marsha will be held Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at 5:00 PM, with a rosary and funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. A reception will be held immediately following the services as we gather to honor and remember her life.

Her song may have ended, but the music she brought into the world will echo forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
