She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Haney Brooks in 1985; her brother, J. L. Waddle in 1987; her sisters, Margaret Waddle Mason in 1986 and Theda Waddle Creel in 1995; and her parents.
She is survived by her nephews, James A. Creel of Fort Worth, John Keith Waddle of Corpus Christi, and Roy Mason of Craig, CO; nieces, Martha Darwin of Fort Worth and Gina McDaniel of Corpus Christi; and twelve great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Jacobia Cemetery in Greenville, Texas on July 18, 2006.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the Air Force Village II Chapel, 5100 John D. Ryan Blvd.
