Martha F. Pigeon

Martha graduated from Midland High School in Midland, TX. She graduated from The University of Tulsa where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She taught high school algebra, was a preschool teacher and an active volunteer, all while raising her children. Martha orchestrated and moved her family all over the country as her husband Brad traveled for his work. The family lived in Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio), Wilton, CT, and Palos Verdes, CA. Martha and Brad moved back to San Antonio in 1979, and she lived there ever since.

She was the Treasury Advisor to her sororitys SMU chapter, and she spent years traveling with her sister-in-law Sandy doing work with the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association. Her church was always important in her life. At First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, TX, Martha was an active member of her Church Circle and a 20-year member of the Sanctuary Flower Committee. She also loved to play bridge with her bridge club for over 40 years. Martha loved all her friends dearly as well as her extended family. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and their activities and accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Alan Pigeon, her parents, Aina and Thomas Frick, and her lifelong friends, Mary Anne Sorenson and Glenda McLauchlin. Martha is survived by her children, Susan Kirk (Ron) of Corrales, NM, Charlie Pigeon (Betty) of Lewisville, TX, grandchildren, Tommy Pigeon (Maddie Rodriguez), Ryan Pigeon and Allison Kirk, brother, Charles Frick (Sandy), many nieces and nephews, and very close family friends, Nort Stuart, Tripp and Chaney Stuart and their children Harrison and Jennings, as well as many other close friends.
