Known as "Mama" to everyone, her family was first settlers in Concho County. Her parents were Pierce Millar and Nelle Molloy Millar. She lost her beloved brother, Philip in a bombing mission over Polesti, Romania during WWII. Mama served two sessions in the Texas legislature as assistant to Senator Dorsey Hardemann during the time Allan Shivers was Governor. Mama served as City Secretary of Eden Texas elected by popular vote.
Mama was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Callan.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Mary Lisa Callan of San Antonio and daughter, Rebecca Callan of San Angelo, TX.
She loved people from all walks of life and Mama touched all she those she met. She loved and was especially loved by Lisa.
