Colonel Diggs served in the U.S. Army as a dietitian from 1952-1973.
After retirement, she was a partner in Adelynee's Summit Haus Bed and Breakfast and MaryLynne's Antiques.
Mary was especially proud to be the Fifth Great Niece of George Washington and a descendent of Cherokee heritage.
She was preceded in death by her Life Partner, Dr. Adelynne Hiller Whitaker; father, Colonel John Diggs; mother, Ova Washington Diggs; and a brother, Colonel Jack Diggs.
Mary is survived by her brother, Colonel William Diggs of Baimbridge Island, Washington; several nieces and nephews; dearest friends Major Frances Priddy, Myrtle Grace and Patricia Collins; and her adoring cats.
