

Mary C. Flores, age 92 passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Her beloved mother Otilia passed away on the same date 20 years ago. She was married to her beloved husband, Frank R Flores for 44 years until his passing in 2011.
She was born in New Braunfels, Texas to Raymond and Otilia Mendez, who owned and operated the Green & White Store for decades, and sister to Raymond Mendez Jr. a proud Longhorn and longtime Pharmacist.
Mary was a graduate of Incarnate Word College, and worked for many years as a Civil Servant at Fort Sam Houston. She was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and an active member of the Guadalupanos. She found years of happiness as an avid fan of Longhorn football and the San Antonio Spurs.
Mary is survived by her daughter Carol Bucchi and her husband Ron, brother Raymond and sister-in-law Yolanda, nephew Joseph Mendez and his wife Linda, niece Anna Robicheaux and her husband Dan, and niece Christina Mendez. She is also survived by grand nieces and nephews, Jacob, Jennifer and fiancé Ben, Ava, Aidan and wife Nicole, Asa, Abram, and Ari. Also, a great grandniece Claire and great grandnephew Karri, and her grand-furbabies Lucy and Ranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank R. Flores, parents Raymond and Otilia Mendez, and grandniece Megan Mendez with whom she now has joined in the presence of our Lord in heaven.
Words cannot express how much we appreciate the loving care provided to Mary by her caregiver Lettie and her family. We are also so grateful for the comfort and kindness of the wonderful nurses, Donna and Benita, of Abundant Hospice Care.
Rosary and funeral service, will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by a private burial service for the family in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
