She was born in Gladewater, Texas on June 26, 1911 eldest child of Clyde Alexander McLean and Cora Clements Jeter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Major Charles Edwin Heartsill and daughter Marian Heartsill Richie, sister Maxine McLean, RN and brother Billy Bob McLean.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughter Diana Heartsill Young, her husband Dr. James K. Young, sister in law Alice G. McLean, nephew Dr. Robert A. McLean, nieces Linda McLean Caley and Mary Alice McLean Heckman, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Mary Lou loved family, friends, children, travel, Bridge, entertaining, and a good Margarita. The family wishes to thank the Assisted Living nurses and staff of The Forum for their abounding love, tender and unfaltering care of Mary Lou.
Mary Lou was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and Daughters of the King.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
