Mary Jane Hofheinz

Born as Mary Jane Reed on December 8, 1939, parents Claud Isaac Reed and Lillian Reed Wright of Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1968 Mary Jane ( known as Jane ) married her love of her life , Frank Otto Hofheinz at Castle Hills Baptist Church. Together they raised four children: Vicki Jane, Connie Lee , Edward Lawson and Damen Otto. Ola and Burley Thompson were a big partof Jane’s life, she loved and adored them. They stepped in when Jane was a child and influenced Jane’s life tremendously.

Jane worked for NISD for 25 years, she loved the school district and had many friends there. Afterwards Jane was a hearing reporter (ODAR ) for another 10 years and worked along with many judges.

Jane loved the great state of Texas and the beautiful hill country. She loved the outdoors and her visits with neighbours and friends.

She always had a story to share with everyone. She had many fishing, vacations, gambling, stories after her trips. Jane had a creative eye for landscaping and decorating which everyone noticed right off as they would visit Frank and Jane’s home. Jane and Frank are active members of Churchill Baptist Church where they have many friends.

Jane later found a Big Red Hat and became a Red Hatter. She cherished the fun & friendship with the Red Hat Club. Jane always enjoyed family fun with each Birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas that came around. Jane made things extra special for her family with lots of love and support.

Words cannot express our loss. There will be a place in our hearts that cannot be replaced. The continued love she gave us will be followed now with heartfelt prayers to our Lord, as our lives will not be the same without her.

A Reception will follow the service. Interment will take place at 2:15 PM in Nichols Cemetery, Kerrville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her granddaughter, Jillian Marie Damian. Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Frank O. Hofheinz; her son, Damen Hofheinz (spouse Angela); daughter, Vicki Damian (spouse Dale); daughter, Connie Thornburgh ( spouse Bob) son, Edward Hofheinz (spouse Ginny); grandchildren, Jordan Marie Damian, (fiancé ) Nathan Daniel Swaney, Ericka Angelina Hofheinz, and Crystal Jade Waite; great-grandchildren, Ava Addison Damian and Tyler Aaron Damian; and Jane’s sister, Dorothy Black.
