I am sorry for your loss,Mrs.Jenkins was a wonderful person,she was my fifth grade science teacher at boone elementary,and one of my favorites only Mrs Tenner comes second.I will never forget her.God bless you and your family.

Ms.Jenkins,was a very positive influence in my life,she was my fifth grade science teacher at Boone 85',I have never forgotten her positivity,and sad for those who knew her best.Very few people you meet in life ever leave that size of a footprint in your life.She will be greatly missed,just know it is even brighter in heavan now.She will forever shine in my heart.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Jenkins. I was fortunate to have met her.

I am so sad to hear of her passing. I had her as a teacher and she taught me so much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I sorry to hear about Mrs. Jenkins. She was my 5th grade and 1st grade teacher, she was full of spunk and tough!!! and i thank her for that! She will always be in my Prayers! My condolences to the family!

Sunny saw the best in everyone.She showcased the best in me and is responsible for making me the teacher that I am. She was my mentor. She was my teacher. She was my friend.

Sunny meant so much to our family and i will always remember her joy and laughter that she brought to us every time she visited us in Temple. Regretfully i was not there to say goodbye, but I know that our family will miss her each day that passes and are blessed to have been touched by her charm and love. Sunny was one of the sweetest and honest people I have been blessed to know. She taught me so much at the beginning of my teaching career. Conducting parent meetings with her for the Skills for Adolescence class taught was always an eye opener and served me well in the years to come. She will truly be missed by everyone everyone who was lucky enough to have had her touch their lives.

Having done almost 600 speeches now, I have never had such a blessed introduction as the one I had by Sunny at the San Antonio Aggie Mom's Club. She had guaranteed me that nothing would stop her from performing this task. The day before she could not even get out of bed. But she came through on her promise to do the introduction. Her perseverance and fight that came through that night was matched by her enthusiasm and spirit. It is a memory I'll never forget. Satan won the cancer battle, but Jesus won the war. Amen!

Sunny touched us all in immeasurable ways. As a new teacher when Zachry opened, Sunny helped me learn how to be a truly compassionate teacher. I am forunate that she touched not only my life, but my children's as well. She saw them from birth through middle school and every time I saw her after she retired, she asked about my kids and passed on her words of wisdom. I'll never forget her working with my son on history fair project when he was in her 6th grade class,giving him her great big hugs and lipstick kisses. She was so glad to hear that he was going to A&M in engineering. Even though my daughter wasn't in her class, Sunny always took her in as if she was and always giving her great big hugs in the hall. Every time I saw Sunny after she retired, she'd always ask, "How are those babies." If we can only touch a fraction of the lives that she did! I learned a lot about teaching, parenting and life from Sunny. Our world was a better place because of her. Sunny will be greatly missed. I'll never forget her smile, those cookie parties and sharing stories about twirling and our children.

I have many fun memories of attending Social Studies Conventions with Sunny.

My first thought when I met this wonderful teacher was "Sunny, what a perfect way to describe who she was". Sunny leaves a void in the teaching profession that will not be easily filled. She was kind, caring and loved each and every student who came into her classroom. Thank you Sunny, we will miss you.

My sincere condolences go out to the family of Sunny at this time. I know that her suffering and pain are now over and that she is smiling down on us once again. Sunny always brightened my workdays at school with her personality and her adoration and concern for the many students that she taught so much to during her devotion to her chosen profession. She will be missed on this earth, but I look forward to uniting with her again in our heavenly kingdom. A. J. Martinek
