Mary Ola Jones, Lt. Col., USAF RET., passed away on January 6, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee to parents Robert Jones and Elmina Jones. Mary was an Air Force Flight Nurse who served in Korea, Vietnam, and was called to serve during the USS Pueblo Crisis. After retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, Mary enjoyed a 40 year long career with the V.A. as a Registered Nurse.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Herbert and Mage. She is survived by her son William R. Fogg and his partner Eddie Mesa; sisters Bernice, Charlotte, Shirley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or to a charity of your choosing.
