Mary will be remembered for her love of photography and always wanting to be behind the camera; and also for her quick wit. Always strong, courageous, and adventurous, her enthusiasm for life was contagious, and she invited many to be a part of her adventures. She was a faithful and best friend to many. She did mission work in Brazil and Mexico, ministering in the women's prisons there. She also did photography for Child Protective Services in the Rainbow Room. She had a tremendous passion for life which showed in everything she did.
Before joining our Lord, Mary said she knew that when she took her last breath on earth, she would be taking her first breath in heaven. Because of the strength and joy she demonstrated throughout her life, she will be deeply missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Otilia Garcia and husband Jose J.; her nieces, Vanessa Garcia, Gloria Dorsett and husband Juan; her nephew, Jose G. Garcia; 2 brothers, Alberto Olmos and wife Eva, and Fernando Olmos and wife Ida; and her special pets, Pinky and Mila.
The family will receive friends at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 6, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
