Matthew was best known for his green thumb. He was proud of his tomato, pepper & basil plants. Matt couldn’t believe his tomato plant had grown bigger than his moms. Matt was the official baker for family gatherings. His delicious cheesecakes were always a hit. On fishing adventures with his Dad & close friends, Matt caught the biggest fish! Matt had a big heart for all animals & was often entrusted to watch other people’s fur babies. Matt’s kind heart never went unnoticed. His infectious smile & laugh could put anyone in a good mood.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Rosina & Armando Vela Jr; big sister, Jennifer; brother in law, Chris; niece, Amanda Ybarbo; youngest sister, Jackie; brother in law, John, & nephews, Connor & Andrew Whiten.
Matthew is proceeded in death by both his Grandfathers & oldest brother, Armando Vela III.
