Michael Harry Walters, age 72, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. For the past seven months, he fought cancer bravely, patiently, and without complaint. His wife, Vickie, daughter, Jennifer, son, Seth, along with his devoted friends, Denise and Albert Trujillo, were always by his side giving much love, encouragement and support. He was never, ever alone.
Michael’s strength was his joy for life. Sunrise was his favorite time of day. He called it, “the most beautiful time of day.” Each day brought a smile to his face and something silly or cheerful to say with happiness and contentment in his heart. He never had an unkind word to say to anyone even when wronged. Everyone got the benefit of the doubt. Michael was always kind, always patient, and always happy.
For Michael, family came first above all else. The love he gave to and received from his family brought him immense joy.
“Fallen Limb” – Unknown
A limb has fallen from the family tree
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.”
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
