Mildred Nelson, age 87, precious mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on April 20, 1925 in Palmer, TX. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Nelson in 2000; daughter, Mary Elaine Dowdle on April 7, 2011; and parents, Orville & Laura Simmons.
She is survived by her son, Alvin Eugene Nelson, Jr. & wife Dwalah; granddaughters, Dallas Parker & husband Bob and Lauren Williams & husband Steven; grandsons, Roger Sweeten & wife Tami and Matthew Nelson; great-grandchildren, Landon Colson, Clay Parker, Paige Parker, Ashley Sweeten, Jackson Sweeten, Tate Williams and Presley Williams. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Sunset Funeral Chapel with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
