Mindy Kay Bryant Lanoux

Mindy Kay Bryant Lanoux, age 37, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born July 2, 1974 in San Diego, California to Steven and Mary Bryant. She was a graduate of East Central High School, and then received her B.A. in English from Texas A & M University, College Station, with a concentration in education. A born teacher, she worked in Floresville, where she met her husband, and then at NEISD's MacArthur High School. She was part of the founding faculty for the STEM Academy at Lee High School, where she taught until her illness kept her home. But even after her illness kept her from teaching, she continued to tutor students. Mindy was a member of Alpha Phi Omega at A & M and a member of Laurel Heights Methodist Church. A consummate volunteer, she coached her children's soccer teams, was a cheerleader sponsor, UIL Current Events sponsor, student council sponsor, and a team mom, - if you asked her, she did it. Mindy was a beautiful person, loving daughter and an amazing wife and Mom. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Denise Bryant; maternal grandparents, Merlin and Alice Nester and paternal grandfather, William Bryant. Mindy is survived by her husband of 11 years, Lance Lanoux; son, Riley John; daughters, Marie Colette and Amelie Adele; parents, Mary and Steven Bryant; parents-in-law, Dorothea and Jim Nisbett; paternal grandmother, Vivian Bryant; brother, Steven Bryant, Jr. and wife Jenny; children's godparents and best friends, Nadia Nekooi, Tiffany Mann Collins, Mark Leddy, Lorrie and Roger Garcia, Kevin and Tiffany Gibson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
