Moses Yanas Sr., age 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in San Antonio, TX. As a devoted family man, hardworking leader, and one who always put his loved ones first, he was deeply loved by family, friends, and strangers whose paths he brightened with a kind conversation. With his warm and engaging personality, Moses’ life was rich with memorable moments that included music, dancing and good food. In addition to his devotion to family, Moses loved hunting, watching Western movies and spending time with his 8 grandchildren. With his wife, Celia Yanas of 59 years, he built a business from the ground up and acquired properties across Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Celia Yanas and parents, Thomas and Simona Yanas; and his siblings, Viviano Yanas, Tino Yanas, Juan Yanas, Maxine Salazar, and Constancio Yanas. Moses is survived by his son Moses Yanas, Jr. (Cathy); daughters, Brenda Gomez (Alfred) and Linda Hinojosa (Charlie); grandchildren, Genivy Gomez, Angelica Gomez, Alfred Gomez II, Shelby Hinojosa, Baylie Hinojosa, Moses Zachary Yanas III, Asia Yanas and Nico Yanas; and siblings Josie Beltran, Tilla Hernandez, Chris Yanas and Rudy Yanas.
