

Myriam Carolina Mijares, affectionately known as Myri to her family and friends, passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 24. She was born on April 30, 2001, in San Antonio, Texas, to Carlos and Rosa Mijares.
Myriam was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She graduated from Memorial High School, attended The University of Texas at San Antonio, and later continued her education at Palo Alto School of Cosmetology.
A woman of deep faith, Myriam found comfort in her relationship with God. What brought her the most happiness was being in the kitchen, cooking or baking with love. Whether preparing a meal, cakes, or her famous chamoy apples, Myri put thoughtfulness and care into everything she made.
Myriam had an infectious smile and laugh that touched everyone around her. She loved being silly, dancing, and singing. Her caring nature made ordinary moments feel special. She enjoyed taking road trips to different cities for a special restaurant or a concert. Myriam loved making memories with Ally and Israel by visiting amusement parks or simply watching her favorite TV shows. She took pride in dressing up and making sure Ally had the perfect outfit, shoes, and matching hair accessories for every occasion.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ally Flores; husband, Israel Flores; parents, Carlos and Rosa Mijares; brother, Carlos Mijares (Roxanne); sister, Mirna Bosquez (Ruben); nieces and nephews, Olivia, Penelope, Ruben, Nico, and Luca; uncle, Jesus Mijares; grandparents, Raymundo Mijares, Maria Desocorro Espinoza, and Virginia Garcia; and extended family members Eddie and Monica Flores and Julie DeHoyos.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Rafael Hernandez; uncle, Jesus Hernandez; and great-grandparents, Elvira Herrera, Francisca Hernandez, Maria Espinoza, and Agripina Espinoza.
A viewing and prayer service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Treviño Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237. The viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support Ally’s future in Myriam’s memory.
