I just learned of your loss this past weekend. I first met Naomi when I learned to square dance with my parents back in the early '70s. She was a very nice and thoughtful lady. My mother, Irene, was good friends with her for many years. She would like to hear from one of her children. If one of you would call her in New Braunfels, she would appreciate it. Naomi is my Great Aunt. She is my Grandmother's mary nellaunt. I never got the chance to meet her but i am sure that if i had i would have loved her. it is funny that we lived so close together. My step-dad is a funeral director at porter loring north location so it is a small world. when i look at her picture she reminds me so much of my grandmother. I am sorry that i could not have had the chance to know her and my deepest sympathy towards the family. it is hard to loose a loved one but God will get you through this hard time. Much love

Aunt Naomi was one of the sweetest human beings I've ever met. Soft spoken, always quick with a smile and her soft voice was certain to quell any argument and soothe any hurt. She was elegant, beautiful, kind, gentle, sweet and funny. When her brother Dude my father passed away, she came to stay with my mother, along with my Aunt Arlene. I remember one evening the three of them sitting on one of my mother's guest beds laughing like sorority sisters, whispering, giggling and telling secrets. Every now and then she would say something that would get a "Naomi!" out of my mother and the entire group would break up laughing and she would blush bright red and it's hard to describe the combined look of guilt and delight on her face at getting that reaction to her tale. That is how I will remember her. I will miss her.

She was still young, how sad to loose her, the only hope is that she will be brought back to life on earth John 5:28, 29, and that death and sorrow will be done away with! I hope this eases your pain a little bit! Love

I would like to share a little story. I came to know Naomi at my first job. That was Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in New Braunfels. She was a great lady. She taught me many things. There is one thing I do remember. She introduced me to Bread and Butter pickles. Naomi could not have a sandwich without Bread and Butter pickles to go with it. Sometimes pickled okra. Since she introduced me to Bread and Butter pickles I too like Bread and Butter pickles to go with my sandwich. I will always think about Naomi and thank god for blessing us with her.
