

Mr. Jaso was born in the town of Spofford, Texas on October 29, 1926. He was the first child of the late Jose and Julia Jaso. On November 18, 1944, just shortly after his 18th birthday, Mr. Jaso enlisted in the 11th Airborne Division. He proudly served his country for 5 years until he was honorably discharged on October 8, 1949. Mr. Jaso then worked at Rio Grand Electric Company for 32 years and retired on December 31, 1990.
Mr. Jaso is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Zulema Maldonado Jaso and by Hilda Munoz Jaso, to whom he was married to for 30 years. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jose Jaso Jr., Leonardo Jaso and Rafael Jaso. He is survived by his sister, Ester Jaso and 5 children: Veronica (Elisandro H. /deceased) Trejo; Rolando (Adriana) Jaso; Rosemary (Jose) Ibarra; Eleanor Jaso and Joel (Christina Garcia) Jaso.
Mr. Jaso is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Many will fondly remember his joke telling, magic tricks, the delicious meals that he cooked and most of all his ebullient spirit. He remained a long time resident of Carrizo Springs, Texas where he spent most of his time visiting with friends and family. A devoted Catholic, Mr. Jaso spent his Sunday mornings at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church deep in prayer while reciting the rosary. May he now rest in peace in the house of the Lord.
