Norwood Leron Ford, age 85, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. Born to Norwood and Lois Ford in Fountain Hill, Arkansas on October 13, 1933. He was a veteran of the United States Army for 27 years. Duty stations included Germany and Vietnam. He was highly decorated, receiving many honors including a Bronze Star and Purple Heart from his tour in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Melba Miller. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Ford; children, Ronnie Ford and wife Becky, David Ford and wife Amy, Tom Ford, Jayme Ford, Jeff Ford and wife Teri, Jaclyn Bridgeman and husband Kenneth; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30th from 6:00-9:00pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
