Ofilia A. Rodriguez

She married Manuel H. Rodriguez in 1945 and raised five loving children. She was totally dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. Additionally, Ofilia was a permanent fixture and life-long member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and a choir leader and Furthermore, in her later years,worked for Girling as a Home Provider, volunteer worker for SSMA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Arturo Alderete and Refugia Alderete (Reyes); In-laws Jesus P. Rodriguez and Mercedes Rodriguez; Celestina Rodriguez,brothers Guadalupe (Lupe) and Juan Alderete; sisters Consuelo A. Bampi and Oralia Alderete; sons Arturo Rodriguez and Rogelio A. Rodriguez (Angel); daughters-in-law Lucy A. Rodriguez and Ruth Rodriguez.

She is survived by her loving husband Manuel H. Rodriguez of 73 years, her sons Manuel Rodriguez Jr., Richard Rodriguez Sr. and (wife) Delia Rodriguez, her only daughter Rosalinda Sanchez, sister Maria Caballero and daughter-in-law Lora Rodriguez.

She had numerous grandchildren, David J. Sanchez Jr., Quentin Sanchez, Moses S. Sanchez, Joy A. Radai, Gregory A. Mars, Veronica L. Mars, Donna M. Aragon, Manuel A. Rodriguez, Monica A. Rodriguez, Genevie C. Rodriguez-Quinoñes, Kelley A. Molina, Vanessa Garcia, Richard Rodriguez Jr., Darlene Gomez,Candice Rodriguez, Sabrina Rodriguez, Kevin Rodriguez and great-grandchildren.

Ofilia will be missed greatly by her family and life-long friends. She will be remembered by her beautiful and gleaming smile, her love for her family and her service for others.

Viewing will be held at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 on January 30, 2019, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Service will be held at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 747 SW 39th Street, San Antonio, TX 78237 on January 31, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Committal Service will be at the San Fernando II Cemetery, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 on January 31, 2019, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.
