Olen Pierpont of Adkins, Texas passed away January 13, 2011 at the age of 79. He was born in Smiley, Texas to Walter and Minnie Pierpont. Olen married Margie DeReese in June of 1956. They were married 35 years until her death in 1991. He was a salesman for Pepperidge Farms, where he worked until his retirement. Olen was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie, his parents, and a brother, Eugene Pierpont. Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Morrell and her husband Rick, grandson, Jonathan Olen Morrell, brothers, James Pierpont, twin brother Ollin Pierpont and his wife Joyce, Jerry Pierpont and wife Martha as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 5PM to 8PM at Sunset Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 12:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
