Pamela Kay (Frazier) Beaudine was born September 4, 1951, the oldest of four children of Bennie and Barbara Frazier. Pamela was born in Sentinel, OK though the family lived in the nearby town of Cordell, OK, and subsequently moved to Santa Monica, CA.
Pamela graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1969, and attended Santa Monica City College the next year. Graduating with a degree in Nursing, she became a Registered Nurse with her first RN license issued by the State of California in 1972.
During this time she met her future husband, Brian Beaudine, as they both worked at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. They married while they were both college students on Pamela's birthday in 1971 at Marina Free Methodist Church in Los Angeles.
Pamela and Brian lived in Mar Vista, CA and Pamela worked at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica. They moved to Santa Ana, CA after Pamela got her RN license; there Brian finished studies at California State University, Fullerton. For a time they worked together again at the Orange County Medical Center, she as a Registered Nurse and he as an Administrative Intern. After Brian graduated they moved to Mesa, AZ where Pamela worked as a Registered Nurse at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.
In 1977 Pamela and Brian moved to Anchorage, Alaska where they both worked at the Alaska Native Medical Center. While in Anchorage their two children were born, Gregory in 1977 (yes, Pamela traveled the ALCAN highway to Alaska in a pickup truck while pregnant - what an adventuress!) and Matthew in 1981. In Anchorage, Pamela became a nurse specialist in the new medical field of Neo-Natal care.
In late 1981 Pamela and Brian and kids moved to Colorado Springs, CO to be closer to family and stayed a few months with her sister Paula and husband, Henry Gonzalez while looking for a house in a bad housing market. While in Colorado Springs Pamela went back to college and earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Beth-El College of Nursing, an affiliate of the University of Colorado, in 1990.
In 1996 the family again moved, to San Antonio, TX where Matthew graduated high school and Gregory graduated from the University of Texas, Austin. Pamela continued to work in hospitals as a Neo-Natal Certified Registered Nurse and later as a Case Manager in the business office of Methodist Hospital. Through her career Pamela held Registered Nurse licenses in California, Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, and Texas.
Pamela was dearly loved by all who knew her. She spent her life caring for and helping anyone and everyone in her life. She was, to the end, a kind hearted woman who always wanted to help. Pamela is survived by her husband and sons, her parents Bennie and Barbara Frazier of Colorado Springs, CO, her sister Paula Gonzalez of Colorado Springs, CO, her brother John Frazier of Colorado Springs, CO, and her sister Deborah Mills of Bakersfield, CA.
Pamela died March 10, 2012 in San Antonio, TX.
