Patricia Lynette Boyd Contreras

Patricia Lynette Boyd Contreras, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 11, 1952, in Marshall, Texas to Audrey Patricia Storey and George Boyd. Although she considered San Antonio home, Patricia spent a period of her childhood in Brisbane, Queensland Australia, her mother’s birthplace. She often described some of her fondest childhood memories occurring here, including attending Sommerville House the Brisbane School for girls. After returning to Texas, Patricia attended Keystone School where she continued her love for learning. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy as a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Of her 47-year career as a pharmacist, she spent 37 years dedicated to serving our nation’s veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs. During her time here, she became a friend, role model, and mother figure to many of her colleagues, fostering life-long relationships with everyone she touched. Patricia was committed to helping others, known for her kindness and profound generosity to friends, family, strangers, and her beloved pets alike. Her greatest glory was her two daughters, “Meggie” and “Jillie”, whom she loved more than life itself. Patricia is survived by daughter, Jillian Contreras; daughter Meghan Contreras McQuade.

Funeral Service for Patricia will be held in San Antonio at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Lake LBJ. Patricia will be laid to rest near her father George Boyd.
